Wednesday 2nd June 2010, 13:06

Urban Forum is seeking to recruit organisations and/or individual consultants to deliver the two elements of their Bridging the Mismatch project which forms part of the Targeted Support Programme for the East Midlands Empowerment Partnership.

The Targeted Support Programme (TSP) is a group of seven projects aiming to provide strategic support to 19 local authorities in the East Midlands to improve engagement and empowerment in their local area. The programme is being managed and co-ordinated by Leicester North West Community Forum (LNWCF), who are the lead and accountable body for EMEP. The TSP is funded by the Community Development Foundation.

The Bridging the Mismatch project will be delivered to eight local authorities in the region in 2010-11 and we are seeking tenders for the following:

  1. Recruitment and support of Communication Champions
To recruit and train local residents/community group members as communication champions to form sounding boards in each of the eight areas designed to support local authorities to improve communication around involvement opportunities.
  2. Workshop Facilitation
To facilitate three Bridging the Mismatch workshops – firstly with local authority officers, secondly with communication champions and thirdly a joint workshop – and to write a mismatch report in each of the eight authorities.

They welcome applications from organisations for either one or both pieces of work.

Deadline for tendering application: Friday 11 June
Interviews: 24 and 25 June
Timescale for work: July 2010 to January 2011
