The National Coalition for Independent Action (NCIA) is an alliance of individuals and organisations who believe that freedom to join with others in independent voluntary and community activities is in danger. Its recent flyer highlights the extreme pressure on the independence of the voluntary and community sector imposed by government's drive to use the sector for delivering government services and priorities - also exacerbated by compliant voluntary agencies.
