Tackling Crime in the Community
A safe and secure local area is a key requirement of a healthy society. 66% of adults believe that crime has risen nationally despite figures showing that the experience of crime has fallen since 1995.
The Coalition Government introduced a comprehensive package of reforms in the Police and Social Reform Bill. The drive to reduce crime will require the combined efforts of the public, private and voluntary sectors.
Attend this forum and take the opportunity to examine the on-going reform to the police services. Sessions will discuss the impact of expenditure reductions, how forces can be encouraged to work in partnership with the third sector and what more can be to tackle the causes of crimes.
