Cabinet Office, Home Office, Department of Communities & Local Government
This one-day conference offers attendees an inside track on the Coalition Government’s thinking about the radical policy shifts required to drive an essential culture change and increase community action as power is devolved to Neighbourhoods and ‘Localism’ takes shape.
You will benefit from hearing direct from civil servants responsible for designing and delivering parts of this agenda, with ample time allotted for questions from attendees.
Who should attend:
- Community Activists (individuals active in local areas, campaigning & striving to improve their neighbourhoods), Community Volunteers, TRA & Community Association Representatives, Neighbourhood Watch & Home Watch Coordinators etc
- Professionals from Agencies - The Police, Housing, Health, Community Safety and others
- MPs, Local Councillors and Local Authority Staff
This event is FREE for all unsalaried community volunteers but, on arrival, donations of £10 (cash or cheque made out to NWCAN) are invited from professional attendees - receipts provided.
Donations are not compulsory; we trust most people will comply to offer support
