Community Development and the "Big Society"
The outline for the day will follow the successful pattern of the last two years:
- 12.30pm - 5.00pm CDNL Forum and Networking, starting over lunch
- 5.00pm - 6.00pm Tea
- 6.00pm – 7.45pm Keib Thomas Community Development Seminar
- 7.45pm – 8.30pm Refreshments & networking
We are lining up some key contributors. The details are being finalised and flyers will be available soon.
In the meantime, the booking form is attached. You can book for one event or both. Please send this email on to colleagues who have an interest in communities.
These events will bring you right up to date, two weeks after the Government’s expenditure cuts are announced. They will explore developments in the new ‘Big Society’ policy, how this relates to what has gone before on community engagement, and the roles for community development in the new policies. These events will be important to catch up, contribute to the debate and share ideas with fellow practitioners.
