Community Empowerment - Community Engagement

What is it? Why do it? Why is it not as simple as it sounds?

Are you expected to 'engage with communities'? Are you involved in developing a community engagement strategy? Or a toolkit?

This one day course explores the context of community engagement, it flushes out issues and challenges, encourages participants to think about ways forward and different approaches to community engagement and helps participants get to grips with where community engagement 'sits' in relation to community empowerment.

People who attend this course come from different sectors and are in roles such as: Community Environmental Network Officer, Community Regeneration Officer, Research Officer, Member Services Officer, Strategic Partnership Officer, Community Empowerment Policy Officer, Community Centre Development Manager.
