Active Citizenship: Building Stronger Communities Conference

26/06/2008
Venue:
Hilton Hotel, Southampton

Achieving strong, active and empowered communities is the real challenge for our communities today and the key to achieving successful civil renewal. Citizens are being given more opportunities and support to become actively involved in defining and tackling their communities' problems. Active Citizenship: Building Stronger Communities provides an opportunity to explore current thinking on civil society, civil renewal and active citizenship and consider its implications for Black and Minority Ethnic communities.

This is a comprehensive event is for private, public and voluntary organisations and will help delegates explore what active citizenship means and what can be put into practice locally in their community.

Cost: £15 - £225
