New website, new staff, new blog!

There have been lots of new beginnings here at CDX over the last few weeks:

  • New website...
    If you're reading this, then hopefully you'll have spotted that things are looking a little different around here. The new website went live on 13 May 2010, and we're all pretty pleased with it!

    Along with the new look, the CDX team have reviewed content and are talking about ways in which we can develop our online resources further. If there's anything you'd like to see, if you spot something that has gone awry or if you just have some feedback about the website, please drop me an email: sophie@cdx.org.uk.

  • New staff...
    Our new Chief Executive Officer, Nick Beddow, joined us in April 2010. You can read more about his background and musings on community development in the latest edition of CDX Magazine, which our members will all receive shortly (if they haven't already).

    Our new Development Officer - Policy, Emma Lees joined the team last week. She has worked in community development for more than a decade - most of which spent at Mansfield District Council.

    Last, but not least, I joined CDX myself just a few days ago as Development Officer - Communications. My name is Sophie Ballinger, and I joined CDX having spent the last couple of years working at NAVCA, latterly within their Policy and Communications Team, and having worked within Higher Education for about ten years before that (mostly at the University of Derby).

    I'll be looking after CDX's communications, such as our current publications and resources, and am really keen to develop our use of social media, kicking off with a bit of tweeting, so please do follow CDX on Twitter for updates, thoughts and community development news.
